Hair transormation

If you know me at all, you are aware of me liking things very consistent.  Yet one part  of me likes change and is a little edgy.  See this post for an example...when I put teal in my hair.  I am not one to keep the same hairstyle/color for too long. So I decided I wanted a change with my hair again....a major change.  It just so happens that Crystal and her family were coming soon!  I have been wanting a haircut that has a chunky piece-like texture, kinda like a pixie, but definitely NOT a pixie, not on me!  I kind of used Alice's hair from the twilight series as a reference.  So Crystal first cut my hair, then we colored it the next day......RED!! Here is before the color change.

To get to red we had to bleach my hair to lift the dark brown. It went like this:

Bleach, first round.  Can you see it getting lighter?  I hate this part the most.  It itches and stings.  Not fun.

One part lifted much faster, hence the plastic shield for the top.

YUCK!!  Orange is my favorite color.....but NOT for hair.  I had blonde, orange, and still a little dark brown.  So we put a little more bleach on the ends that hadn't lifted quite enough.

Here is Zora.  She was VERY concerned when she saw my yellowish brownish orangey hair.  She said "Oh NO! What happened?! Uh oh," pointing to my hair.  "Amber!  What happened."  Then when Crystal starting putting the red on she freaked out.  She started crying.  It was so funny, sad, and touching at the same time.  Such a sweet niece.
